Domains, DNS & Google Workspace

Make sense of the stuff behind the site.

I help with domain connections, DNS, Google Workspace business email, mailbox migrations, and website measurement. If the accounts and settings are scattered across old providers, I’ll help work out what’s where and what needs attention.

Domains & DNS

Connect your domain to the right website and untangle settings left behind by old providers. I plan around your existing email and services. Moving the website should leave the inbox doing its job.

Domain management

Ongoing help with agreed DNS settings, registrar questions, renewal reminders, and domain connections. Your domain stays in your account, with registration and renewal paid directly to your registrar.

Google Workspace

Help setting up business email on your domain, adding users and aliases, and configuring email authentication. You own the Workspace account and pay Google directly for licenses.

Email migration

Ready to move an old mailbox? We’ll review what needs to come with it, who has access, and the timing, then agree on the migration plan and price.

Website measurement

Google Analytics and Search Console setup to help you understand traffic and monitor search visibility. Includes account access, site verification, and checks that the agreed measurement is working.

Account cleanup & handoff

Work out who handles the domain, website, email, and reporting. Get an account inventory and clear next steps, so the next person to ask “who has the login?” has somewhere to look.

A clear starting point

Scope first. Then the work.

Setup can be a one-time project. Domain management is a separate annual service. Migrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing changes are quoted or billed at an agreed hourly rate. Provider subscriptions and domain fees are separate.

Website measurement setup is separate from basic page titles, descriptions, and sitemap work included in a website build. Advanced event tracking, dashboards, and ongoing reporting are scoped separately.

Work is scheduled by agreement. I confirm availability before committing to deadlines; these services do not include emergency or around-the-clock support.

Before we start

Start with the accounts you know.

Send your domain name, the providers you recognize, and what you want to change. Let me know whether the website or email is affected and whether a renewal or planned move has a deadline. An incomplete list is a perfectly reasonable starting point.

I’ll help identify the relevant accounts, confirm the access needed, and plan the agreed changes around your existing services. Access is arranged separately. You retain ownership of your domain and business accounts, with provider charges paid directly to the providers.

Planning your project

A few useful questions.

Does moving my website mean moving my email?

Usually these can be handled separately. I review the current domain and email records before planning a website connection, so existing email and verification settings can be preserved. A mailbox migration gets its own scope and timing.

Can you help if I don’t know who manages the domain?

Yes. Start with the domain and any provider names or renewal notices you have. I can help identify the services involved and what access is needed. If ownership or access must be recovered, the account holder may need to work with the provider.

Is analytics setup the same as ongoing marketing?

No. Analytics and Search Console setup can be a defined project. Advanced conversion tracking, reporting, advertising, and ongoing management receive their own scope. The marketing page explains those services in more detail.

Start with what you know. I’ll untangle the rest.

Send your domain, the providers you know about, and what you want to change. I’ll review what access is needed and confirm the work, cost, and availability before starting.
